Powerful Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor For Boiler Water

1000-NR

Powerful Scale and Corrosion Inhibitor for Boiler Water

Product Datasheet

Product Description

1000-NR is a blend of selected phosphates which react to precipitate calcium hardness in the boiler as a sludge and prevent the formation of hard calcium carbonate, sulfate, and/or silicate scale. The finely-divided, non-adherent calcium phosphate sludge remains suspended in the boiler water until removed via the blowdown.

1000-NR contains the best and most highly concentrated phosphates to assure maximum results with a minimum of treatment.

Containing oxygen scavenger polymer-based technology, 1000-NR provides very efficient corrosion inhibition effect and prevents iron losses, pitting, and pinholes up to the maximum extent.

Advantages
  • Prevents calcium scale deposits.
  • Forms nonadherent sludge.
  • Cost-effective. A phosphate precipitation program can be the most economical where significant hardness levels exist in the feedwater.
  • Excellent corrosion inhibition.
  • Clear and easy dosage control.
Dosage

1000-NR dosages depend upon many factors, including the chemical characteristics of the makeup water, boiler operations, percentage of condensate return, etc.

Individual dosage recommendations are made for each installation by your Maxon representative, based on his survey. Dosage is controlled by various water quality color comparison tests.

Feeding

1000-NR is compatible with most boiler water chemicals and can be blended with them in the treatment feed tank. 1000-NR may be fed in several ways, depending upon the makeup water characteristics and the boiler operations.

Specific recommendations will be made by your Maxon representative for each installation.

1000-SQP

Oxygen Scavenger, Scale Preventor & Sludge Conditioner for Boiler Water (Powder Form)

Product Datasheet

Product Description

1000-SQP is a free-flowing, powder-form, corrosion-causing catalyzed and decharacterized oxygen scavenging formula that combines chemically with dissolved oxygen in feedwater or in the boiler to inhibit the formation of oxygen-induced corrosion, including pitting. The effective combination of Sulfite and Phosphate-based polymers, proven effective in 1000-SQP, is here supplemented with sodium-based lignosulphite polymer formula, which contributes less than one percent sodium hydroxide to the finished formula.

1000-SQP not only provides efficient corrosion inhibition but also conditions mobile sludge levels for scale reduction in normal ranges.

Advantages

  • Rapid reaction rate with oxygen
  • Higher chemical mobility
  • Characterizes free sludge to mobile formation
  • Effectively reduces deposition rates
  • Protects deaerator storage section and feedwater lines
  • Prevents boiler pitting corrosion

Dosage

1000-SQP dosages depend upon many factors, including the chemical characteristics of the makeup water, boiler operations, percentage of condensate return, etc. Individual dosage recommendations are made for each installation by your Maxon representative based on his survey. 1000-SQP dosage will vary considerably depending upon the feedwater temperature, type of boiler operation, type of heater or deaerator, air leakage into the system, etc.

Feeding

1000-SQP is best fed continuously by chemical metering pumps into the deaerator storage section. However, the ordinary boiler treatment feeding methods, such as simple shot feeders, can be used with diminished effectiveness. Methods can be adopted depending on feasibility for the operator.

Handling

Store in a cool, dry place. Store in a tightly closed container at a moderate temperature; do not blend. Wash thoroughly after handling. Use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. Do not inhale or ingest.

Packaging

1000-SQP comes in containers conforming to Performance-Oriented Packaging Specifications, in the following sizes:

  • 30 Kg round PE Container (poly-insulated)
